Faye Jackson Brown, early Maine Prairie settler and farmer. He was a State Assemblyman and served as a Solano County Supervisor and deputy county asssessor. He was born in 1835 in Chittenden County, Vermont. He came to California in 1855.
The family lived on Maine Prairie Road south of Dixon in the large Italianate style two story home that he built for his family. The home has twenty rooms and was restored in the late 1990's by Ed Bartosh and Betty Taylor.
There is a book written about the Brown Family in the Dixon Library Archives by Bob Brown and Faye Brown Morrison and other family members. The book is in the Brown file in the archives.
