   Hon. Abraham Jay Buckles came to California about 1875 after he became an attorney and soon settled in Dixon, California. He was a Superior Court Judge. Thomas Newton Buckles came to Solano County in 1864 where he farmed near the town of Batavia south of Dixon. He ran a successful livery business. He died in 1903. He was related to Judge Abraham Jay Buckles. Thomas' wife, Mary Buckles was a sister to Mrs. Holly. 7 pgs.
