   Bank of Dixon opened in 1873 and was located on the north side of West B Street between First and Jackson. In 1911 it moved to First and B Street location. John Rice, President of the Bank on the left. His son, Scott Rice, is standing next to him on the right.

   Bank of Dixon interior view. President John Rice standing on the right. His son, Scott Rice, standing on the left. They are standing inside teller's cage. John Rice retired from the bank in 1914 . About that year he built his home on the nw corner of 2nd and B Streets across the block from the bank. He died December 28, 1923. See Rice folder in the People file in archives for more information.
