Description |
Automobiles parked on corner of A Street and Jackson St. in Dixon, California. Circa. 1915. Leo Marvin Garage on south side of A Street where Post Office is now located. Electric Railway Office in same building. McDermott home is residence on left of photo. It is was relocated in the 1980's to Pitt School Road south of A Street and is a boarding house. It has been nicknamed the "Old Yellow House" Early automobiles are from the left a Hudson, Buick, Studebaker, Ford and Dodge. The Dixon Police Station is now located where the McDermott home was located. Marvin Way was named after the Leo and Effie Rattenbury Marvin family's property. Their home was located on the northwest corner of Adams and A Street and then 719 West A St at Pegord . Pegord was named after their children, Gordon and Peggy Marvin. |
