Description |
Dixon May Day Parade early 1900's or earlier. Dixon Native Daughters organization's float. Finely dressed lady members on float - all dressed in white. It appears that float is in front of a long warehouse by the railroad tracks. The warehouse has business signs on it and on the shingled roof is painted Hood's Sarasaparilla with a sign at the peak of the roof - 'Patronize the Vendome". Ladies dressed in white and wearing large hats on wooden sidewalk in building possibly at the corner of B St. and Jackson. Writing on the back of photo has name Carrie F. Miller. |
