Description |
Dixon's First High School built in 1880. It was first called Dixon Academy and was located at 4th and A Streets. It was renamed in 1892 to Dixon Union High School. Two story wooden building with windowed cupola on the roof. Tall narrow four over four sash windows. Two chimneys visible. Students looking out the upper windows and two boys sitting on the window ledge on the floor level. Small porch with balcony above. Students sitting on both. Young trees in the schoolyard. |
